Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data is collected on this site, why, for how long it is kept, and how you can exercise your rights. This site only collects data you voluntarily submit through the contact form - no account creation, no online payment, no newsletter.
The contact form
When you fill in the contact form, the following data is collected:
- Name
- Email address
- Preferred stay dates (optional)
- Message
Purpose: to respond to your request for information or availability regarding the villa rental.
Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR) - you voluntarily contact us to obtain information about a possible stay.
Retention period: up to 3 years from our last exchange if no booking is made; if a stay is booked, relevant information is kept for as long as needed to organise it, then archived according to applicable accounting obligations.
Who has access to this data: only the site's publisher (see legal notice) and Netlify, which technically hosts the site and routes contact form submissions (see below).
Technical services used
The site deliberately relies on a small number of technical services. Here is what each one involves:
Netlify (site and contact form hosting)
Netlify, Inc. is a company established in the United States. Your contact form message passes through its servers to reach us by email. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adopted by Netlify - see Netlify's privacy policy.
OpenStreetMap (location map)
The map shown on the site is provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom). Displaying it sends your IP address to this service, as with loading any external resource, but it does not set any tracking cookie.
YouTube (presentation video)
A video can be watched from the Gallery page. It is embedded in "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com) and only loads if you actively click on it: until you click, no data is sent to YouTube/Google.
Fonts
The fonts used on this site are hosted directly on our server: no request is sent to a third-party service to display them.
Cookies and trackers
This site does not set any audience-measurement, advertising or tracking cookie. No consent banner is therefore shown: there is nothing to consent to. Should this change, this page will be updated accordingly.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights over your personal data:
- right of access: to know what data is held about you
- right of rectification: to correct inaccurate data
- right to erasure: to request deletion of your data
- right to object: to object to a processing activity
- right to portability: to retrieve your data in a reusable format
- right to restriction: to request a temporary suspension of processing
